scott644 's advice and put a sun shade over the outside part of our AC unit.
I had some pallets laying around (from the delivery of the fence and the delivery of some paving stone). I had been trying to figure out what to do with them...so I finally got the idea to use them for the shade. I made an L shape with them and then leaned it up against the house.
I might do something more permanent later. I'm at least going to paint the thing.
While I was at it I trimmed the foliage from around the AC (AGAIN...man that stuff grows fast)
...then moved on to get rid of some stuff from under the apple tree.
Dorthy (our next door neighbor) told me last week (when she asked if I could trim the apple tree back from her shed) that she didn't expect that there would be many apples from it this year. I'll have to keep an eye out for any though...I don't want Beast getting any and eating himself sick.
(and he's sick now for some reason...he's thrown up a few times today...but other than being more clingy than usual doesn't seem to be under any difficulties) (probably ate too much uncooked oatmeal)
