I got up about 3:30 this morning...

Little bit of heartburn and a headache.

ambled around and did pretty much nothin till [livejournal.com profile] starsongky got up to get ready for work.

Found out shortly afterwards that the upstairs toilet was broke...(flapper had come loose and needed to be replaced)

I had been thinking of going to the hardware store anyway since I had moved the foot activated baby gate to the stair landing...it's not quite wide enough for that spot so its tension screws were at maximum extension...which meant that if someone pulled on it it would "bend" at one of the spots where the tension screws went into the body.

I was thinking of getting a 4 inch thick piece of wood...maybe 6 inch to use as a filler.

Anyway I waited around till after 9 to make sure the place would be open...got the boys dressed and off we went..

Mikey didn't want to be put in the "cage"...he wanted to walk. I let him...he was fairly good about staying with me...only had to call him back a few times. Lots of "What's that?" questions...which I answered best I could...don't recall anything that was a flat "I don't know." but there where a few things that I gave the simpilest answer for.."Saw" "Paint" etcs.

Found the flapper pretty quick. (good thing too...that section had a lot of sample valves and plumbing doddads that Mike eyed eagerly.

Decided to see if they sold extensions for our brand of gate instead of looking for wood. Yep....more expensive than wood...but more secure too.

Then I wanted to get something to go under Beast's puppy pads to make the clean up even easier....wandered around the store looking for ideas...finally came across one of those vinyl rug protecting mats...I figured I could cut it to fit and I'd be set...3 bucks...couldn't go far wrong with that.

Mike of course did not want to go straight home...he was hungry. (I know I fed that boy just before we left...guess hardware takes energy)

Dropped by McDonalds and got some breakfast stuff...warned them there would be no toy but that they WOULD get chocolate milk. Surprisingly I got no complaints...Mike even said it was good when I asked him.

Put the gate extension on after I ate...looks good. Fixed the toilet next. That worked. Cut the vinyl and replaced the puppy pad with that and a clean pad. (dunno if that works yet...gotta wait till he goes for that one.

Jacob came in from his Granny's while I was typing this...(back up there where I said "Yep") he was coming to check if I had made copies of something for his granny yet. The answer was no, so I made him wait till I did make the copies.

Wonder if I can get the other two to take a nap? Beast is easy..I lay down so will he.

I'm about to go to sleep on the keyboard.................fdiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
