Lack of misery isn't boredom..Instead, I would call it "peace of mind"..which lets you enjoy the things you might not otherwise be able to. Mooching relatives I have(suppose everyone does),but I long ago gave up being "financial resource center". Too many "loans" became "grants" instead. I try to save up and buy things where ever possible,rather than buy them on credit. Not always possible,but it's something I try to do. I also try to keep a slush fund for emergencies..Scott
