The kentucky house and Senate have passed a bill to amend Kentucky's Constitution.

The amendment will Ban Gay Marriage and will even officially ignore Cilvil Unions.

So it will be  on the ballot for the public to decide.

I hope like hell that the voting public will not vote the way the politicians are obviously hoping.

assholes.

I really appreciate the few who voted against it...one even went so far as to  conclude her speech with a request to the people in her district to vote her out of office if this is what they really wanted.

Man that sucks! Is it banning ALL civil unions or just ones between same sex partners?

They are actually only banning Same Gender Marriage. The amendment mentions something about not recognizing Civil Unions instead of banning them...I suspect the language very particularly mentions same gender Civil Unions, but I do not know for sure...I haven't been able to find the text of the passed amendment.
