starsongky's bench [livejournal.com profile] starsongky's bench
Tracy's Mothers day Gift, Note the fence behind it. It goes around a huge tree that straddles the property line. (This tree is the one that killed the shed that USED to be to the left of the picture)
Back of the house Back of the house
The back of our house. Now fenced in. Note the stair rail, shed and second satellite dish...and possible the area of missing shingles to the right of the dormer. All of those I fixed(missing shingles(and by fixed I mean patched witha long stick and some tar...I ain't climbing on that roof..it's scary steep)), put in(shed, second satellite), or built (railing).
Backyard Backyard
Our backyard. Note the block patio. That used to be a shed. old age and a tree limb took it down well before we bought the house. It was basicially a gravel patch when we moved in..I laid down all those stones (not the concrete block border though...thats left from the shed.) Tracy's bench is just the other side of it behind the tree limb.
Front of House Front of House
We changed the house numbers (a bit bigger than the old), added a mailbox (locking), the storm door, and I did some concrete patching on the stairs. edit: I also put in the new light for the front. I've also washed the entire house. We had some chimney guys come to seal the chimney after we found it leaking.
Half Door Half Door
I wanted something that the boys could operate easily but that beast couldn't operate (unlike the child gates I had at the apartment) I also wanted to allow better airflow to the upstairs and be able to hear the boys from down here....so I cut the door in half (it was a solid wood door) moved the top hinge, and added a little railing to the top)
Kitchen Kitchen
I haven't done much in here except rearrange some things and put in a stove hood (not vented to the outside...it just filters)...oh and I replaced the faucet and switched the hot and cold lines to the sides they are supposed to be on. I also added that shelf in the back on the right hand side of the window. Oh yeah..I replaced that round light fixture above the sink too.
Library/office Library/office
I put the ceiling fan in that you can't see in this picture and bracketed my bookshelves to the studs in here....I also had to ground the outlet under the desk so my UPS wouldn't complain.
Front Room Front Room
I put up the curtains and the blinds in here... I had replaced the blinds on the front window but beast kept tearing them up trying to look through them, so we went with curtains instead.I attached the pachinko machine to the wall at the top so it shouldn't come crashing down.

Looks nice! I haven't seen this house before, so I don't quite know all the changes, but it is looking very nice.

Thanks. I haven't changed the look much....except for the fence and the patio.

Yay! Haus!

It's cute. Up here, it would have larger eaves, so I keep wondering whether they got cut off or something. But on that you can ignore me. IGNORE ME!!

I hope you kept the top half of that door. Making it into a Dutch door pair would be cute, later.

Hee hee hee pachinko machine. That machine will be around until the end of eternity, won't it?

You know me.. I throw very little away, the other half is tucked behind the TV in the front room.

And yep that machine will be around as long as I have any say about it.

(still works too...need to reinstall lights again...I ripped them out a while back when the power supply went bad)
